Grading
Report cards for all grades will be distributed three times during the school year. Parent/teacher conferences will be held twice during the school year to inform parents of their student’s progress. The fall conference is mandatory, while the spring conference may be convened at the request of either the parent or teacher.
Marking System

There are different report forms used for grades K, 1-2, and 3-8.  Since we encourage self competition, each report card tells the parents how their child is doing in comparison to what is judged to be his/her ability.  The effort grade indicates how hard your child is trying.

Honor Roll

The following subjects are counted towards honor roll: Science, Math, Social Studies, English, Reading, Religion, and Spanish. Each of these seven subjects will be given a grade on the trimester report card. This grade will be assigned a numeric value as indicated. The seven grades will be added together and divided by seven to derive a single value that is used to determine honor-roll status.  Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 are eligible for the honor roll.  If a student has an effort grade of X in ANY subject, he or she is ineligible for that trimester’s honor roll, this includes P.E., Art, and Music (as these courses are given an effort grade).
