SRCS Registration

In choosing St. Raphael Catholic School, you have demonstrated a commitment to the values and philosophy that define the world-class Catholic education your child will receive at our school. Your family's experience is shaped by three pillars of education that lie at the very heart of all that children and their adult leaders do, say, and think.

These pillars are within a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment:

  • Catholic Identity
  • Academic Excellence
  • Service

The faculty and staff look forward to working with you to nurture the spiritual development of your child(ren) within the context of the teachings of the Catholic Church.  We are happy to have you in our school family.  On this page you will find the additional registration forms for each school year.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 630-355-1880.

Virtus

The PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN™ Program

Out of concern for the safety and well-being of children, every diocesan, parish, school or religious education employee or volunteer who is involved with minors on a regular, recurring basis and those who may have an opportunity to be alone with children during parish, school or religious education sponsored events, are required to attend a Virtus Protecting God’s Children program.

Of all the safe environment programs available, Protecting God's Children was selected by the Joliet Diocese. It was determined to be the best possible program because it is comprehensive and professional. Please visit Virtus to register for a class.

Our Bishop has mandated that all adults who have contact with children, be they paid staff or volunteers, must attend a session of Protecting God's Children. This awareness session addresses the signs of child sexual abuse, the methods and means by which offenders commit abuse, and five empowerment steps one can use to prevent child sexual abuse. Parents or grandparents who volunteer at St. Raphael School, in any capacity, are required to complete one of the sessions offered before being allowed to volunteer around children.

Volunteer Requirements

The Diocese of Joliet requires that each volunteer complete a Protecting God's Children workshop and complete the following forms:  Background Check, Acknowledgement Form (for receipt of Policy Concerning Sexual Abuse of Minors and Standards of Behavior  Against Child Abuse) and a Volunteer Application.   You must provide the school office with a copy of your Protecting God's Children certification of completion if taken at a parish outside of St. Raphael.  Volunteers are required to complete all steps before being allowed to work with our school children.
