Mrs. Adelynn Bartelt is our 5th Grade teacher at St. Raphael School.  She has been part of the parish and school community for 25 years.  Each of her three children attended St. Raphael School.  She was a volunteer and Substitute Teacher for many years.  This inspired Mrs. Bartelt to obtain her Masters Degree in Education at Benedictine University.  She then joined the staff full time in 2010 as the 4th Grade teacher for eight years.  In 2018 she moved up to teaching 5th Grade and is passionate about preparing her students for Junior High.  Mrs. Bartelt is also active in the continuous improvement of curriculum at St. Raphael School and tailors her curriculum for her students with learning differences.

Mrs. Bartelt was raised with a strong Catholic education foundation and a family of educators.  Our area has excellent options for academics both in the public and private sector.  What drew her to St. Raphael for her own children’s education and occupation was the “extension of family” you feel being part of this community.  Relationships are built and last many years.  Everyone truly cares about the success of each student.  Mrs. Bartelt most enjoys guiding her students on their faith journey.
