Mrs. Boland has been a part of the St. Raphael School community for over 30 years. After growing up in Chicago and attending Loyola University and Benedictine University, she received her undergraduate degree in Literature. Mrs. Boland worked for a few years in the corporate world before her family moved to Naperville where they joined the vibrant and dynamic community of St. Raphael! Mrs. Boland and her husband chose Catholic education for their five children and all graduated from St. Raphael School. In addition to receiving an outstanding education and growing in their Catholic faith, their children were involved in many of the extracurricular activities that St. Raphael has to offer.
Like many of the staff at St. Raphael, Mrs. Boland was a parent volunteer first; serving on the H&S Board, chairing events and coaching volleyball. She assisted with Baptism and Confirmation preparation and is currently serving as a Eucharistic minister. Her love for the students of St. Raphael led her to go back to school for studies in Library and Information Technology. Mrs. Boland worked in the capacities of Substitute Teacher and Instructional Aide before becoming the Librarian in 2008. As Librarian, she leads small reading groups, assists students working on projects, and recommends wonderful books for the students to read. Since 2017, Mrs. Boland has filled the role of Assistant Principal, working to continue the success of St. Raphael School in academic excellence and guiding our students in the Catholic faith.
