Mrs. Marie Wilson

¡Hola! I would like to introduce myself. I was born in New York, but then moved to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico where I attended the University of Puerto Rico. I obtained a bachelors in Political Science there and then completed my Juris Doctor in Law. I came to Chicago to acquire my LL.M, Masters in Law and met my husband of almost 23 years. We are the proud parents of two young men, both the product of a Catholic education.

As a native Spanish speaker, sharing the love for my language and culture has become my passion. My experience teaching Spanish spans 14 years of elementary education, middle school, some high school, and even adults. I have taught in the private and public school setting as well. I love teaching in a Catholic school because our religious beliefs prepare children for the future by providing them with a Christian foundation that will allow them to keep their faith alive and present in their lives.

My passion is teaching Spanish to children in a way that is creative, FUN, and meaningful to everyday life. I love making my students smile and laugh. It is very important to me that every child feels special and important. Feeling loved and having fun while learning Spanish is the perfect combination for children and makes them excited to learn and eager to return to class each week!

I look forward to a wonderful school year! ¡Mil deseos de bendiciones!-A thousand wishes of blessings!
