If you were to ask Jennifer Timmons what her dream job would be, her answer would definitively be a Teacher. Mrs. Timmons has been in education for over 20 years. She earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Art from North Central College. Mrs. Timmons attended St. Xavier University to obtain her teaching degree and Masters in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career first as a Paraprofessional for students with special needs and then as a 1st Grade teacher in Orland Park, IL. After spending 10 years teaching in Orland Park, Mrs. Timmons stayed home for a few years with her children. Although Mrs. Timmons has been a St. Raphael parishioner since 2000, she joined the school staff in 2008 as a 1st Grade teacher. Over the years she has taught 1st , 2nd and 4th grades. She has also served as the Assistant Principal. Mrs. Timmons has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with her Administration certificate at Concordia University.
When Mrs. Timmons is not at St. Raphael, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 25 years, her three daughters (two are St. Raphael School graduates), and three dogs. Mrs. Timmons shares the parent perspective as she too was a St. Raphael School parent and that helps her as a teacher. As a school parent, she served as a Cross Country and Track & Field Coach for 9 years. Mrs. Timmons enjoys traveling, reading, crocheting, and arts & crafts. Learning is a never-ending process and Mrs. Timmons loves the challenge of always learning something new. Mrs. Timmons is actively involved in the parish serving as a Eucharistic Minister and a facilitator for Protecting God’s Children.
