Why the Funds Exist
Our teachers are the heart of St. Raphael. Each day, they educate, encourage, and pray with our children, providing an excellent education rooted in the love of Christ. Like most Catholic school educators, they answer this calling while earning considerably less than they could in a nearby public school district such as Naperville District 203.
The Schultz Family Faculty Endowment Fund was established to help change that—providing long-term, equitable compensation for our teachers so St. Raphael can continue to attract and retain exceptional, faith-filled educators.
The fund is permanent and restricted: its principal is invested for long-term growth, and each year, only the investment income is used to enhance faculty compensation. A gift given today will continue to bless our teachers for many years to come.
How does the Endowment Grow?
Together, our entire St. Raphael community helps build the Schultz Family Faculty Endowment Fund. Many of the activities and giving opportunities our families already participate in throughout the year directly support its continued growth.
Ways to support the fund include:
• Participating in the Redwing Golf Classic
• Purchasing RaiseRight gift cards
• Contributing through the annual endowment fee
• Making an individual or family gift
• Giving as a St. Raphael parishioner
• Giving as a grandparent or alumnus
Because the fund is permanent, every contribution becomes part of a lasting investment in our teachers. The principal remains invested for long-term growth, while the investment income supports faculty compensation year after year.
