Mrs. Rebecca Pruim: 6th Grade Homeroom, Science & Math
Mrs. Pruim has been with St. Raphael since 2017 and has enjoyed her time as the middle school Science and 8th grade-level Math teacher. Mrs. Pruim grew up in Naperville and attended St. Raphael as a parishioner with her family, making her confirmation at the parish. Mrs. Pruim obtained her Associate in Science from College of DuPage and went on to acquire her Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University. Prior to becoming a classroom teacher, Mrs. Pruim assisted in the writing and facilitation of science curriculum presented by institutions such as The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and The Brookfield Zoo. During her time as an Environmental Educator, she realized her passion for the sciences was best utilized with students in the classroom. She earned her Master of Arts in Education and teacher certificate for grades K-9 from Lewis University.
When not in the classroom, Mrs. Pruim enjoys spending time outdoors kayaking, hiking, gardening, and beekeeping with her son and husband. She enjoys volunteering as an Animal Therapy Handler through the Naperville Humane Society.
