For 10 years, she worked in Human Resources in the areas of training and organizational development. For 15 years, she taught Spanish from Kindergarten to 8th grade students at St. Bartholomew Catholic School in Columbus, Indiana. She was also the coordinator of the Leader in Me program for the last three years. Her family consists of her two college-aged children and her husband.
I love to teach Spanish, as a teacher and as a mother I know the importance of learning a language from a young age. I enjoy working with all ranges of students from kindergarten to 8th grade. As a result of their various ages, I have discovered that they all have wonderful things to share and I enjoy working with them and learning from them too.
I’m Catholic and I like to incorporate our Catholic Latino traditions into my lesson plans as well. My students not only learn the language, but also the culture and the Catholic Traditions behind it.
I’m excited to start working this year at St. Raphael as a Spanish Teacher.
