Mrs. Carna Torrico: Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Torrico comes to us with an untraditional background. She had a successful career in Human Resources, where she obtained her Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations and was a Senior Executive for several Fortune 500 corporations for the last 10 years of her corporate career. In 2011, Mrs. Torrico decided to stay home and enjoy her son while he was in Preschool and felt called to the educational world in 2013, when her son entered First Grade. She obtained her Masters in Elementary Education in 2015 from National Louis University. Mrs. Torrico brings 25 years of real-world experience into the classroom everyday where she is passionate about her calling to teach our children about her love for Jesus. She enjoys teaching Kindergarten because it is a joy to be a part of the formation of little hearts and minds as the future leaders of our world. Mrs. Torrico also enjoys welcoming newcomers into the St. Raphael family as they begin their relationship with the St. Raphael community.
She is fluent in Spanish, loves reading and traveling the world to experience different cultures and is very active in our parish and serves at a Cantor. In 2017, Mrs. Torrico was awarded the Core Value of Catholic Education Faculty Award by the Diocese of Joliet.
